Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope this message finds you well. As we continue to work together to support our students’ growth and success, I wanted to share a few important reminders and updates with you.
1. Book of the Month Discussions
We are thrilled to see so many of you participating in our monthly Book of the Month discussions. Your involvement enriches our students’ learning experiences and fosters a love for reading. However, I would like to kindly remind everyone that, in accordance with the Department of Education’s policy, photographing or video recording in the classroom is not permitted. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to this policy.
2. Health and Hygiene
Recently, we have seen an increase in illnesses such as the flu and Covid-19 affecting both students and staff. To help keep our school community healthy, we urge you to reinforce good hygiene practices at home. Please remind your children to wash their hands frequently, cover their mouths when coughing or sneezing, and stay home if they are feeling unwell. Together, we can help minimize the spread of illness and ensure a safe learning environment for everyone.
3. School Safety and Immigration Status
The Department of Education has strict policies in place to ensure the safety and security of our school community. Non-local law enforcement officials are not permitted to enter the building without a warrant. We want to reassure all parents, regardless of immigration status, that your children are safe and welcome at school. Education is a fundamental right, and we encourage you to continue sending your children to school so they can thrive and achieve their full potential.
4. The Importance of Reading
Reading is the foundation of learning across all subject areas. It opens doors to knowledge, creativity, and critical thinking. We encourage you to continue promoting reading at home by creating a nurturing environment where your children can explore books and develop a lifelong love for reading. Whether it’s a bedtime story, a trip to the library, or a quiet reading corner at home, every effort makes a difference in your child’s educational journey.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Together, we can create a positive and enriching experience for our students. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Sincerely,
Tony Wu, Principal
